Vickie has been involved with horses her whole life. Being raised in the Yukon Territories fostered her great love of the outdoors and her deep respect and connection with nature.

In 1979 Vickie started her career in teaching Physical Education at the Elementary  School level.  At the same time, her knowledge and relationship with horses  matured.   Her most memorable lesson from one mentor  “The way you are with your horse…is the way you are in your life.”  

In 1995, Eagle Feather Riding was born with one student from Vickie’s school and only two horses on property. Even after nearly 25 years, Eagle Feather Riding continues to be a work in progress, always dedicated to the refinement and expansion of its unique riding philosophy.

Eagle Feather Riding is a team effort. That’s what makes it so special! It is made up of many gifted humans with a passion for learning, life, and horses.
